The very long day at Disneyland....

We had a very nice day yesterday, celebrating my birthday. We arrived at Disneyland at around ten in the morning, and I finally placed my sleeping little angels in their beds at one in the morning. We rode many, many rides, and watched a fun and lively parade, visited toon town and took a tour of Mickey Mouse's house, and ended the day with a sweet treat and a fireworks show. Jasper was in wonderful humor all day long, so patient, and happy. He enjoyed seeing all the sights, he was continually pointed in every direction, pursing his lips together going "ooooohhhhh" "Oooooohhhhh" Caillou, loved "It's a small world" the very most, we rode it twice. It was my favorite too! Caillou struggled with waiting in lines, he became naughty at times to the poor people standing in front of us,but after awhile, he seemed to understand the idea of what we were waiting for, and that the line would move, and we would get on a ride. All in all,it was a very fun, but tiring day. I have to say, I am glad that the day was free, I do not know that I would be willing to pay what they charge for admission to do it again. We packed a picnic lunch and lots of snacks, and our only little splurge was a dinnertime treat. It was a bit discouraging, everything was so ridiculously overpriced. $12 for a balloon, $ 8 for a carmel apple, $ 25 for a toy. Needless to say, we have no souvenirs that we brought home from our day except for happy memories, these pictures, and tired feet!

What a special day it was for you and your two little men.

I hope you get some rest today.

  2. Thanks for taking me on a tour to Disneyland. I have never been to a park like that. I have only went to six flags once and I was preggo.

Your hair looks so cute. It is growing longer.

I am so glad you had a great time. You deserve it.

  4. Hi Ashley,I so enjoyed seeing your pictures. I am so happy you were able to take your babies some where that special and enjoy the day with them. I know they must of had a wonderful time and you as well. I also liked reading your previous post "A little more about me". The picture of you is just beautiful. I think Jasper looks a lot like his mommy. I pray things are going well with your family...Blessings to you all...

  5. Good for you for getting it up and posted already! I'm glad you had a happy birthday. :) I loved your insight about not being worth paying what they charge to get through that kind of day. Being outnumbered 2-1, I don't blame you!!! :) Still, what a memory. Wish we could have been there to share it with you.

    Love ya!

  6. Happy Happy Birthday...a day in the magical kingdom is my kind of day. I love Disneyland. I used to be a travel agent many moons ago and any chance I got to travel to sleeping beauty's castle...I was there. Cute sweet kids, God love them.

  9. Oh how wonderful! I don't know which picture I like the best but they are great. I am so glad you had a good time and cannot believe you went alone with the boys! I would have been scared. Too bad Iris didn't go, she'd have had fun too.
